But all MJ fans forget that day because they know that Michael will never die, and they will celebrate his 54th Birthday, today.
We should all soak in and be grateful that it's only been three years and not ten, since his passing. If it's 2019 or 2020, I don't think we'll care as much. Three years should still be fresh to us, to still remember and celebrate him.
What Would Michael Be Doing If He Were Still Alive ? :
I don't think he would be performing, because his 50-shows he was schedule to do in the "This Is It" tour would have been over. Although...I don't know if he would've made it through 10 shows.
And when I say he 'wouldn't have made it', I'm saying he probably would have quit, or died on stage.
When I saw the "This Is It" movie in October of 2009, he didn't look good to me. Even though at some points in the movie he looked GREAT. Even his voice sounded amazing in that age. But you can tell there was something wrong with him.
Michael being very thin was a big part of it. We all know he was thin as a young guy, but he started to gain weight as he got older -- and that was okay. Then, he from being a good, healthy weight size, to skin and bones. That's a big weight drop in that age. He literally looked like he was on drugs.
After he died -- like, three days after -- they showed his rehearsal for very first time, when he rehearsed the "They Don't Care About Us" song. Once I saw him, I saw a different looking Michael. I saw a thin, frail and tired-looking Michael Jackson. When I first saw that I said: 'Now I know why he died'.
We -- and I -- have to remember that he was 50-years old. The things he use to do on stage and on his tours was a lot to ask at 50, by itself. Then you add drugs in his body -- you're asking to die.
Michael Jackson Will Never Die :
I'm not saying this in order to get away from the reality. His music will grow larger as time moves on, I think. I have young nieces and nephews who never seen Michael Jackson perform and know him, just because they listened to two-three of his songs.
Also, he's left so much of his live tours from the 80's and 90's that young kids today will easily find on Youtube. You go on Youtube and there are so many live events he did from the Victory Tour (with the Jacksons), Bad World Tour, Dangerous World Tour and History World Tour. No artists have left that much greatness behind like he did. It's really amazing. That's why he'll never go away, because kids in the future will watch those tours and buy his music.
After he died, I even found songs he performed that I never knew about. One of them is "Heartbreak Hotel". I listen and watch that performance every time. Michael was unbelievable on stage, for that song. To me, that was his best on-stage performance on any of his songs. Very underrated.
Me personally, Michael's songs that he sang on tour sound better than the actual song. Example: When he did "Rock With You" on the Bad Tour in the late 80's, it sounds much better than the actual song. It's a quicker beat to it than the original song.
I can go on and on about Michael's songs; hell, we all can. So, today, your home should be all M.J. Let us celebrate what this man has given us.
Happy Birthday Michael :)
