Yankees Fallout: CALL IT A COMEBACK

FINAL: Yankees 9 Blue Jays 6

When Brett Lawrie hits that 2-homerun, to extend the Blue Jay lead to 4-1, I was thinking -- here we come Oakland.

This come from behind win, gave me such confidence about this Yankee team going forward, in the three games of the season.

The guts, the grit, the heart they showed, gave refreshed my confidence; even with tie on top of the division in the A.L East, that the Yankees can still win this division.

The first five innings of this game the Yankees looked dead. They looked depressed. And I believe, that double from Robinson Cano in the top-6th, gave the Yankees life. Even though they only scored one run in that inning (from a wild pitch), it gave them hope.

Eduardo Nunez: After the one run inning in the top-6th, in the top-7th where the Yankees made their comeback, Nunez started it with single. When Nunez hit that single to start the inning off in a pitch-hit ab-bat, I knew right then and there that this kid is no joke.

Nunez ends up giving the Yankees the lead in the top 8th-inning from a sac-fly.  only he started the Yankees surge, he completed it.

Today's game showed that Nunez needs to stay be in this lineup. He is what the Yankees need, and he's showing Joe Girardi that he needs him in the lineup every night. Though, I don't think he'll be in the lineup tomorrow against the Boston Red Sox with the right-hander Clay Buchholz pitching. He'd more likely face the lefty pitcher.

Nunez brings a spark in the lineup, and extra speed.

Could you imagine if Nunez played spotless defense ?

Phil Hughes: Hughes cannot pitch against a power hitting team, in a big game. He can't. Hughes can beat a good, powering hitting team in the middle of the season -- not at the end.

Derek Lowe: If the Yankees are going to bump Ivan Nova on Tuesday, they might as well replace Nova with Lowe.

Lowe kept the game alive, after Hughes departure. And during the postgame after Derek Lowe spoke with the media, Jack Curry caught a great point what Lowe said, about having to get the Jays back on the field after the Yankees tied the game -- meaning, he wanted to have a quick inning. Stuff like that, is why you gotta love Lowe on the Yankees, where we can use him anytime.

Lowe is big game pitcher. He might not dominate like he once was, but he can keep the Yankees in the game. This guy had been in and won numerous amount of games in the postseason with the Red Sox.  Also, his sinker still have good movement.

Robinson Cano: That at-bat when he hit the RBI double to cut the Yankees deficit to 5-4, was his best AB in a long time. He fouled pitches of that he would normally chase when he was slumping a few weeks ago, and did not give up in the AB.

Cano looks like he's about to get hot on the right time.

The Positives Looking Forward: C.C Sabathia is pitching tomorrow. Mark Teixeira returns tomorrow. The Yankees have to be feeling good with this win, and the Tampa Bay Rays won.

Right now, You want to root for the Texas Rangers and (of course) Rays. Why Rangers ? Because the Rangers will have a three-game series starting tomorrow with the Oakland Athletics, and the Rays are chasing the A's in the wild card -- if the A's win one more game, the Rays are eliminated. You want the Rays to keep playing meaningful games since they are playing the Orioles in three-game set starting tomorrow.

Rangers are going to play hard, since their magic number might be 1 to clinch the A.L West. So they will definitely play tough in the first game. Will they play hard the next two games if they win and clinch the first game ? Remains to be seen.

I don't think the Orioles will sweep the Rays at Tropicana Field. But if the A's lose and lose a couple to Texas, the Rays will see an opening and might take two out of three from the Orioles.
