Yankees Fallout: ALCS

FINAL: Orioles 1 Yankees 3

C.C Sabathia ... That ... is ... all

First and formost -- what a tremendous series and season the Baltimore Orioles.

They were a pain the neck all season and gave us every inch of their blood, sweat and tears in this series. Even in this game, they didn't go out with a fight. And next year, they're gonna want it just as bad.

Also, I would be shocked if Buck Showalter doesn't win manager of the year. Just an amazing job by Showalter.

Yankees Move On To The ALCS

After last night's lost, I wouldn't be confident about the Yankees winning this game if C.C Sabathia wasn't pitching. But since he was, I had hope. Even though I was very frustrated with last night's lost.

Sabathia went from looking hopeless toward the end of the season, to looking like the best C.C I've ever seen as Yankee. I know in 2009 he was dominant, but in this postseason so far, he looks un-hittable.

Everything Sabathia is throwing looks good; his fastball location and velocity looks great; his slider has great bite; his change-up is the difference to why he's been great in this postseason. Not only all those pitches are sharp, he's locating them. Sabathia is not just a power thrower, he's a pitcher. This is like a new Sabathia.

That eighth inning nail-biting. And Sabathia just kept together and incredible pitches. Just like in Game 1, when he was in big situations he made gutty pitches. Clutch pitching Sabathia.

From all the big money pitching contracts the Yankees and other teams in the league has signed, C.C Sabathia has been the best signing and worth every penny. I don't think Yankees win a World Series in 09 without him, or even make the postseason these past couple of years.

Joe Girardi: After the passing of his father, this roller-coaster season and this series, he has handle it amazingly.

Girardi pinch-hitting Alex Rodriguez was ballsy. No manager would have the guts to take out A-Rod in a postseason game. Girardi answer those people who say "managers are overrated in a baseball team".

A-Rod Not Playing: Once Eric Chavez pinch-hit for him last night, I knew this was going to happen. If you don't want A-Rod hitting in the ninth, why start him ?

Not only this was the obvious right idea, but it would've been a distraction in a must-win game. Only for this game.

Now, with the Yankees advancing, A-Rod has new in the ALCS. And I think A-Rod will explode this series against the Tigers.

Tigers: Next stop -- Detroit.

I like this series for the Yankees. I think they won't be as tough as the Orioles. Orioles wanted to really stick it to us. Of course the Tigers would love to beat us for the second straight year, although their bullpen isn't as good as Baltimore's.

Tigers do have the best pitcher and best hitter baseball, in Justin Verlander and Miguel Cabrera.
