N.Y Giants: First Big Game of the Season

To me, this is the first big, crucial must-win game of the season for the New York Giants, as they face the Green Bay Packers and the big, bad Aaron Rogers.

This is the type of game the Giants need. They need a big, pressured game; that's what they thrive on. The reason why the in past couple of years the Giants tend to go on a dive after a 6-2 start, because the games start to get boring for them when the games become meaningless and easy.

Giants like December and January games. That's what lits a fire in them. Those big division, playoff hunt games. A November 11th game against a 3-5 Cincinnati Bengals team, doesn't 'wow' them.

Even though we're still in November, the Giants should still feel hungry tonight. They're going to be at home, facing Rogers and it's a primetime game. This should feel like a playoff atmosphere for them.

I feel confident about the Giants defensive line tonight; they're gonna be upbeat eyeing Rogers; also, he's got 32 sacks this season, with the Giants 25-team sacks for this season. So I can see Rogers eating some MetLife dirt, tonight.

The only question mark about the Giants tonight -- and it's an important one -- is Eli Manning. Manning's last touchdown was against the Washington Redskins on October 21st ... That's hard to fathom. He's got to turn it on tonight. Him seeing Rogers out there should fire him up.

Hakeem Nicks returning tonight, should help Manning. Gives him another option besides Victor Cruz.

Game Prediction: 27-24 Giants
