Carl Pavano a New York...Met?

Via RotoWorld.com: According to Andy McCullough of the Newark Star-Ledger, the Mets and Carl Pavano have "mutual interest."

Pavano's agent clarified to McCullough that negotiations are still "very preliminary," but it sounds like there could be a marriage here. Pavano posted an ugly 6.00 ERA in 11 starts last season for the Twins while fighting right shoulder issues. So he should came rather cheap.

As a Yankee fan, I hope this happens. No, not because he can injure in New York again and can rob another New York team without hardly pitching game. I really do feel Carl Pavano can help the Mets.

Pavano can see this as new life, to redeem himself in New York. And it'd piss off the Yankees if he actually pitched well for the Mets.

If Pavano and Mets do agree on a deal, the Mets' rotation can be pretty good. They'd have a 2013 pitching rotation of: Johan Santana, Carl Pavano, Matt Harvey, Dillion Gee, and probably Zack Wheeler. They can compete for the N.L wild card.
