San Francisco Giants pitcher Tim Lincecum decided to cut his long, stringy hair -- which I always liked -- for the 2013 season, as a new look.
Here comes the interesting part: Lincecum is a free agent come next off-season. And if he were interested in coming to the New York Yankees, he'd had to cut his long hair. Now that he has, could this be Lincecum showing his interest to the Yankees, come free agency? Could be...
I would love to see Lincecum in New York. I just like him as a pitcher and a person. He may not be the same pitcher he once was, but he gets the job done with what he has; he's knows how to pitch. We all saw what he did in Game 5 of the ALDS against the Cincinnati Reds, by coming out the bullpen and shutting out the Red hitters, at Cincinnati, winning that game to win the series after the Giants were down 0-2.
I wouldn't worry about an N.L pitcher like Lincecum coming to the A.L. It really doesn't make difference when you know how to pitch -- and he does. Also, the kid has already won two World Series. He probably wants a new challenge. And why not it be in New York.
Cashman, make it happen.
