Knicks: Amare Stoudemire out for six weeks

March 9, 2013

Boy oh boy. Just when he was about to break out of it.

News just broke that New York Knicks PF Amare Stoudemire will be out for six weeks, due to an MRI revealing a cyst burst on his right knee. Stoudemire likely to miss six weeks.

Miss six weeks, or probably the whole season. This is bad. Really bad. Because not only Stoudemire's season might be over, but his career could be over as well.

Ever since Stoudemire's return his knees looked bad. He was moving all that quick. When a defender was on him and playing tough defense against him, he would get stuck and have no where go; the younger, or healthier Stoudemire, is a lot more versatile. Not anymore. He's not the same player he once was. And it's shame because he's only 30-years old.

Is This Bad For The Knicks?: Yes and no. Yes: With Carmelo Anthony out, Stoudemire was filling up for him, and doing it well. And, No: because Carmelo Anthony can now play the four.

Also, this opens the door completely for Kenyon Martin.
