Knicks: Sixteen Left, Remaining

March 21, 2013

Sixteen games remaining in the schedule ... Time for the Knicks to get on 'a RIPPIN and a TEARIN'

The New York Knicks handled their business last night against the Orlando Magic, 106-94. They did what they had to do. And to start off with a win like that, gives you confidence going into a, not difficult - but sure as hell not easy, schedule, coming up. The Knicks are gonna have to go on a 'rippin and tearin' in these last sixteen games. No time for bullshit. It's the dogs of March. Gotta grind it.

March Schedule:

@ Toronto: Tomorrow night.

vs. Toronto: March 23rd

@ Boston: March 26th

vs. Memphis: March 27th

vs. Charlotte: March 28th

vs. Boston: March 31st

The Knicks need to go 4-2, by the end of March. The two Boston games and the Memphis game at home are gonna be the tough ones. If they can beat Boston on the road, they can definitely win the one at home.

Knicks are 0-2 against Toronto this season. And if they have any chance of taking two games (which is hard to take back-to-back games, as it is) Knicks have to win tomorrow night at Toronto. If they can, it'll be a lot easier to take the second game at home, on Saturday.

The Raptors are gonna be tough. This isn't Orlando. They have a great player, in Rudy Gay. Also, Toronto knows they've beaten the Knicks twice already and will be motivated to take the series record.

Tomorrow night, New York has to enter the Air Canada Centre and take the crowd out of it by taking an early, big lead. If not, I have feeling it's gonna be one of those grinding games.

April Schedule:

@ Miami: April 2nd

@ Atlanta: April 3rd

vs. Milwaukee: April 5th

@ Oklahoma City: April 7th

vs. Washington: April 9th

@ Chicago: April 11th

@ Cleveland: April 12th

vs. Indiana: April 14th

@ Charlotte: April 15th

vs. Atlanta: April 17th

Wow....April is gonna be tough. First and formost, the Knicks HAVE to win the Washington, Cleveland and Charlotte game. Those are three games they have to win -- period.

Against the Miami Heat -- you can't expect much from the Knicks; especially if the Heat are still going on that streak; though, it would be exciting if the Heat still has the streak going, just to see if the Knicks can break it. But if they can beat the Heat -- amazing. If not, you can't take it seriously. The same sentiments goes to OKC on the road.

The four crucial games are the two Atlanta Hawk games, the Chicago Bulls on the road, and the Indiana Pacers game at home. If the Knicks can split these four games, 2-2, and win the three they should (Wash, Clev, Char), that should be able to win the Atlantic Division, and should keep them in the 3rd seed -- or maybe the 2nd seed.
