I'll admit, I haven't watched BET's "106 & Park" for years -- probably since I was in jr. high school. But I decided to turn it on the other day, and I had some nostalgia; especially seeing Bow Wow, who I grew up watching and admiring, though I was also very impressed from what I saw on the show. The two things I like about 106 & Park:
1) They show music videos, which is something you don't see very often anymore, and in a time (6:00 pm) where no one else on t.v is showing music videos.
2) My favorite part about the show, is they'll have people from the audience come down to the stage and dance while the music video is on. That's how music shows are suppose to be. It reminded me of the "Soul Train" line dance, a little.
The african-americans have been the ones to invent dances moves in the past fifty-years or so. And they've made a lot of dances moves in the past five years people haven't seen. These young african-americans kids do these dances -- and do them well -- on shows like 106 & Park and it's enjoyable to watch.
