Knicks Fallout: THREE AND TWELVE

Another frustrating and heartbreaking lost for New York Knicks, who lost their eighth straight to the Denver Nuggets, 97-95.

Three and Twelve ... Things have seriously spun out of control for the Knickerbockers, as they put themselves in a deep whole early into the season, with a 3-12 record. And it's shame because if you look at the rest of the teams in the eastern conference, besides the Miami Heat and Indiana Pacers, every team stinks. The Knicks could've been right behind the Pacers in the conference standings, and probably could've ran away with the third seed early in the season.

The Knicks have got to cut the bullshit and wake up! They do not want to be a in position where they fall so deep that it'll be impossible to get back to .500. The Knicks have got to stop the bleeding, now!

People want to blame the Knicks' bad start to the lack of ball movement and having no offense plays setup -- NO! It's because of the defense! The Knicks have a lot of guys who are so lazy defensively, that they'll let the opposing team score easily so that can go to the other end and score one three-point shot, because they think that one three-pointer gets them back in the game that they're trailing 20 points. That's how immature these guys are.

Coach Mike Woodson has to tell these guys to just play defense. The Knicks shouldn't worry about scoring because they'll score 95 points no matter what. This team can score EASILY! They need to worry about their defense. The only player who needs to focus on offense is Iman Shumpert because he's such defensive beast, he puts defense first - over offense, in his game. Shumpert loves playing defense, more than scoring. But the rest of the Knick players -- can't stand playing defense, if you notice.

You don't need to have good range or leaping ability to play defense. All its takes is hard work and wanting to play it. If you don't want to play defense on the NBA, you might as well just stand there and do nothing and let the player run by you.

CBS radio host Brandon Tierney said it best with this tweet.
Tyson Chandler is needed -- yes. Tyson Chandler is missed -- of course. But he's not Bill Russell. No question, the Knicks have every right to use Chandler, being out, as an excuse for losing, but not when the team has a 3-12 record and only won one game at home. That's highly unacceptable. 5-10, 6-9 -- that's fine. Not 3-12.

WHERE'S TIM HARDAWAY JR.?:

Where the hell was he in the 4th quarter? Tim Hardaway Jr. gave the Knicks some spark last night; he was one of the very few Knicks who wanted to play. Hardaway made some big three-point shots. But, Woodson doesn't understand what "going with the hot hand" means in sports. Instead, he decides to go with J.R Smith, whose been struggling like a man who has diarrhea stomach pains.

I understand why Woodson is still throwing Smith out there; Smith was a integral part of the Knicks last year. When Chandler and Carmelo Anthony were injured last season, Smith was out there putting the team on his back. Although, at this point, Hardaway needed to be out there. Woodson needed to ride with the hot hand, instead of the struggling player WHO WAS good last year. Especially how electric Hardaway was playing early in the game.

MELO TAKING THE LAST SHOT:

It's very easy to praise Anthony, and it's very easy to bash him. But last night, in that final play, he made that play look too obvious and was way too sure of himself. And when I say 'too sure of himself': I mean, Anthony was too nonchalant shooting that ball, as if the defender, Randy Foye, was going to let him score.

Anthony called off the other Knick players as if to say: 'I got this, stand back, I'm gonna win this'. He made to obvious for the Nuggets defenders, or defender, to read what play was going to happen, and he made out as if the last shot was some game that didn't needed to be won. It looked like the Knicks were 13-3, from the way Anthony made that final play look. I didn't like that final play, at all. Looked too obvious for the defense to read.

DEC.1 VS. NEW ORLEANS PELICANS:

Back at home, start of a new month, against a young team -- IT'S TIME TO GET ON A WINNING STREAK. This game spells 'redeem season'. The Knicks have to win this game tomorrow night. No 'ifs, ands, buts' about it. Enough! Time to win a home game, and time to win a win A GAME, period!
