#yankees turned down a brandon phillips for brett gardner offer. #reds

You may think this is bad, but it's not. This is a good thing.
Why is it a good thing that the New York Yankees declined an offer from the Cincinnati Reds that was second baseman Brandon Phillips for center fielder Brett Gardner? Because it means they're talking. And this tells me that they could be talking about a deal that could be bigger.
When I say 'bigger' I mean, Homer Bailey. Bailey could be in the deal, with Phillips. Not saying it's definite, but it could happen since Bailey is a free agent after next season.
This decline offer from the Yankees, doesn't mean the Yankees and Reds have stopped talking. This could be discussions, to a potential blockbuster deal.
I like where this is going. Yankees and Reds are finished discussing. So don't get upset for not getting one player. This could be more.
