I say: YES!
Yes, the New York Knicks should consider sign center Andrew Bynum. Why -- you may say. Because for the simple fact there's always something going on with Tyson Chandler and Amare Stoudemire.
Even since the Knicks signed Chandler in 2010, he's been great. Has definitely sent a defensive presence on this Knick team. But also, ever since he's been in New York, he's been hurt a lot.
Stoudemire, who been recently playing a lot better, as we know has been notorious to being on the injury list.
God forbid if those two (Chandler & Stoudemire) go down for a long period of time, who do you have playing the center? A 36-year old Kenyon Martin? Whose also been injured a lot. If they'd sign Bynum, the Knicks wouldn't have a problem if that issue occurred.
The Knicks should definitely take a flyer on the 26-year old Bynum. I'd make him come off the bench, when Chandler needs to sit, or has foul trouble.
Maybe being in the bright lights of Madison Square Garden and playing with Carmelo Anthony, shapes up Bynum. Probably being in Cleveland didn't 'wow' him much, after winning two championships with Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers. Now obviously, Bynum would have to start on the bench if he'd sign with the Knicks, but New York City would be a perfect place to redeem his name.
Chandler could be Bynum's guidance. I could see Chandler getting into Bynum's face and straightening him out.
