Knicks Best Shot to get Rondo, is NOW!

It is no secret that the New York Knicks WANT Rajon Rondo and Rondo -- I don't know if wants the Knicks -- does not want to re-sign with the Boston Celtics.

The Knicks have a shot to sign Rondo in 2015 when he becomes a free agent. Another good chance of them getting Rondo, is next week, before the Trade Deadline on the 20th.

Although, if he doesn't get traded to the Knicks next week and Rondo has a great second half to the season, there's no way the Knicks will get him. By then, he'll cost a lot more.

See I think, right now, this is the best chance for the Knicks to get Rondo. Why? Rondo is still not 100% from his ACL injury and I feel that teams are a little reluctant to give up assets and picks for a player just coming off a serious injury.

And I also think that Celtics GM Danny Ainge and the Celtics front office, might want to get rid of Rondo asap, since he might not be the same player anymore and they would like to get something for him before he hits free agency in 2015.

What Could The Knicks Offer The Celtics?:

Believe or not, the Knicks have players to offer to Boston. Also, New York is willing to take the Celtics' expiring contracts -- like, Gerald Wallace, who will make $30 million in the next three seasons.

New York can offer the Celtics, for Rondo, Iman Shumpert, Raymond Felton, 2015 pick and Andrea Bargnani.

Bargnani is a very good player. The reason why he can't play on the on the Knicks is because Carmelo Anthony likes the power-forward position. And you've notice now with Bargnani out, Anthony has played much better at the four. Bargnani would fit well in Boston, I believe.

Felton would be someone who can fill in for Rondo in the point-guard position, until Boston finds that next guard.

Then, Shumpert on the Celtics, would replace Rondo's defense. Obviously, Shumpert doesn't provide the intangibles Rondo brings, but Shumpert is young, athletic and is a defensive specialist. Also I think he needs a change of scenery.

There was even rumors that the Celtics would take Amare Stoudemire. And to be honest, that's not a bad idea for the Celtics to bring in Stat in the deal. Stoudemire has played a lot better this season; he can become that superstar player again in Boston.

The Knicks are playing this very well. They've been desperately talking about Rondo for months, now. And Rondo sees that and might get interested about the Knicks want for him.

Rondo may have the Knicks as his first choice, to a team he's like to play for. Reason why -- his old buddies are playing in that other borough called Brooklyn. You know, Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett. He's gonna want to compete with them.

He also saw his other buddy Ray Allen win a championship with the Miami Heat.

A year ago, I thought you were nuts if you told me Rondo can be traded to the Knicks. But now, if you really dissect it, it could happen. And Rondo getting traded to the Knicks before February 20th is not impossible.

Knicks want to re-sign Anthony. Though, they don't know if he'll re-sign with them -- and the Knicks are really worried about that. But getting Rondo, will for sure bring Anthony back.
