This is a sketch of actor Bobby Cannavale, in his character as Richie Finestra, in his new HBO show Vinyl.
And my goodness, his face was hella difficult to draw. Nowadays, I usually need one paper to sketch a face. But for Bobby, I wasted about five sheets of paper, because I kept messing up; and the reason for it is his face has a lot of big features and depth.
He's got big eyes, pointy nose, big mouth but it's not that big; his eyelids are very dark but you can't make them too dark; he's gotta slight chubby face but you can't make him fat because he's not fat.
The picture I sketched from, his left side of the face had a dark shadow. So it made it a lot easier.
But I did! I couldn't move on to the next sketch without getting him done. One of my favorite actors.
Now let him hear the fucking Nasty Bits!
