Frank Vogel - Right Now - is the Knicks Best Coaching Candidate

As of right now, I'd like Frank Vogel to be the next coach of the New York Knicks.

From all I read this week about Indiana Pacers coach Frank Vogel, that I didn't know at all in the past, makes me feel he's right for the Knicks.

Hearing that he's a great admiration for Phil Jackson, grew up in New Jersey; from the tristate area (probably grew up a Knick fan), and he has the perfect age and experience to what this team is looking for in a coach.

Vogel is a winning coach, whose still very young. He's been the coach of the Pacers for six seasons; made the postseason every year except last season (2014-15 season). He even made it to the Eastern Conference Finals two years in-a-row and to only get beat by the LeBron James' Miami Heat. One of those series he took the Pacers seven games against the Heat. What if - LeBron wasn't on that Heat team? Vogel probably takes the Pacers to the Finals.

And if you remember, he help break the hearts of all Knick fans (including mine) when his Pacers beat the Knicks in 2012-13 Semi-Finals, in six games. Which was the last time the Knicks made the postseason. Seem like centuries ago.

I just really like his temperament. There's something about Vogel that makes me feel he's the right fit for this job. You can say he becomes the best coaching candidate for the Knicks. And the main reason why he might be the best fit, is because he's already coached a star player, in Paul George; a player whose a score first player. Who, like Carmelo Anthony, can have a big ego and wants to score all the time.

Luke Walton would've been great for the Knicks before signed with the Los Angeles Lakers, but firstly: he's rookie coach, which is something the Knicks can't have anymore and how is he gonna coach a player like Melo -- those two would've bumped heads. With Vogel, I believe he can handle a star player.

I don't know if Melo would like Vogel, but I think he would. I'd get the sense he's someone Melo would tell Phil Jackson to go get.

For those who say no one wants to coach the Knicks because they don't wanna be Jackson's muppet in how to run the triangle, I'll tell you this: Jackson might not be with Knicks after next season, who has an opt out clause. If he leaves, whoever is the coach, that becomes the coach's team. That coach won't have to deal with Jackson anymore. So if Vogel signs here, after next season he has full control.

With Vogel's admiration to Jackson, Vogel might not have a problem with Jackson if ends up staying the next three years.
