This is why I don't wanna give up on this season.
Finally! What I've been waiting for since the offseason my brother texted me Jack Curry's link, About the Yankees acquiring Aroldis Chapman.
Seeing Chapman's 101-mph fastball, blow by hitters; watching Yankee manager Joe Girardi and pitching coach Larry Rothchild having the luxury of deciding whether to use Dellin Betances or Andrew Miller in the 8th inning, is what I've been waiting to see this season. It's also the one and only thing that'll make the Yankees any relevant this season.
You saw the Yankees strength, last night. An aspect to their team, no team has the luxury of having.
I always thought Girardi would use the three of them in one game. But he said he wouldn't do that; he'd rather pick two and have one rested for the next game. And I'd have to agree with that, because now they can use either Miller or Betances for two innings (7th and 8th inning) and rest that pitcher the next day.
Something the need to take advantage of in this home stand, if they want to get close to .500.
