An emotional moment tonight, at the Democratic National Convention when President Barack Obama spoke on how the American people got him through those tough times.
To me, this is like his farewell speech. And the way he ended it, was so brilliantly done. Toward the end of this speech, President Obama gave us his run as President in four minutes. In those four minutes, he told us how hurt he was, how grateful he was, what he learned, his resilience, what was his downfall; all in the last few minutes -- and it was honest.
You can tell the Sandy Hook tragedy still hurts him, as it hurts us all. No question, that was one of the most horrific and disgusting days this country has ever had to suffer. He felt helpless -- just like we all feel helpless and angry when senseless shooting happens. Mainly for the fact that the 'other side' doesn't wanna help stop this, which makes it even more confusing.
President Obama was so motivating and inspiring in this speech, tonight. With all what's wrong in this country, he makes me believe that there is good out there. Even when I looked the crowd at the convention and believe it more when you see those diverse faces smiling with each other. He motivated me to do well for myself and inspired me to keep kindness alive in our lives. Just because there's bad in the world, we don't need to grow negativity in ourselves.
Beautiful speech. We're gonna miss him.
