I wanted to get to Madison Square Garden today, just to view the the outside of the world's most famous arena as they prepare for the MTV Video Music Awards. And I was just expecting to past by and look - take photos, in a quiet fashion. I didn't expect to be in DJ Khaled Snapchat video!
Yes, recording hip-hop producer DJ Khaled was in rehearsal for the red carpet event. Once I saw him there, I decided to change my plan of just walk by and leave, to staying!
It looked like Khaled will be hosting the VMA red carpet, tomorrow night.
So I decided to stay to watch Khaled rehearse, and maybe I thought once he was done, he'd come over and take selfies, as many fans who were alongside with me, were yelling for him to do so.
And once he finished he came right over to our barricade, as people were roaring with excitement, I was getting to turn over to one side to take a over the shoulder selfie, Khaled opens up his phone and decided to take a snapchat video of everyone, instead.
Everyone behind almost got trampled, but I stood steady and it was easy for me to do so since I was right in the front and right behind Khaled.
It was such a cool moment. I deleted my Snapchat app twice! Because it never made sense to me. I never understood it. But today, I had to download it! Only to follow one person -- DJ Khaled.
It was so cool to be on Khaled's snapchat, which was so unexpected and it was cool to see the construction being done for the VMAs. I've been a fan of the MTV VMAs, since I was a kid. No, it's not like I'm actually going to the event, which would've been 'out of the world' amazing, but still just to witness the red carpet up close and the stage where musicians will performers tomorrow night, I was so grateful to see that. So awesome.
