Would Yankees Trade Betances to Cubs for Schwarber?

Or would, the Cubs, trade Kyle Schwarber for Dellin Betances...
I really like Dellin Betances; I actually think he's still great and can have comeback year next season. But the end to the Yankees 2016 season wasn't all that great for 6-foot-8 Betances, when he became the full-time closer. With that nightmarish game against the Boston Red Sox at Fenway park, when Hanley Ramirez hit a walk-off homerun that basically ended the Yankees season in September, it's pretty safe to say that the Yankees don't want Betances closing anymore.

And if you don't think the Yankees don't want Betances closing anymore, their high interest in former Yankee and free agent closer Aroldis Chapman says it all. Yankees have made it clear they're all in on Chapman, this offseason.

Now, if Chapman doesn't re-sign with his championship team Chicago Cubs, that'll leave the team without a closer. Could the Cubs be interested in trading for another Yankee closer?

If I say anything about Schwarber becoming a Yankee on Twitter, Cub fans will come after me, saying: he'll never go anywhere and he's the future face of the Cubs. But I've said this before and many baseball analyst have as well, and that's: Schwarber will soon have no position, while playing the national league.

He he use to be a catcher, but can't catch anymore and they can't put him at first with Anthony Rizzo. Most likely the Cubs will send this 235-pounder, who just tore his ACL and LCL, to play in left field, everyday. I can't see this happening.

Like I said, I really don't wanna trade Betances, as a Yankee fan and a Brooklyn breed. Betances, whose a breeded Brooklynite, I like to see a Yankee fan born and raise in Brooklyn, live his dream. Something all of us Yankee fans wish to happen to themselves.

Nor do we know if the Yankees would want to trade Betances. But if they do, that means they'll have to break the bank for Chapman, to make sure he's inked to a new deal, and they probably might have to sign free agent closer Kenley Jansen, too, to be the eighth-inning setup man.

The unwritten rule is, you don't trade pitching for hitting; especially great pitching, but this is a great hitter. Schwarber, on the Yankees, in Yankee Stadium, has the potential to hit 45-50 homeruns -- easily.

Schwarber could be the Yankees DH or first baseman. I know Greg Bird is expected to be the Yankees first baseman on Opening Day, but his job isn't for certain. Although if Bird keeps his first base job by producing, would be nice for the Yankees to have Bird and Schwarber in the middle of that lineup for years to come. Counting Aaron Judge.

Even Cubs fans, I think, would have to stop and think about this trade. Betances can win a Cy Young as a closer in the N.L. That's how dominant I think he can be.

Betances is 28-years-old, he'll become arbitration eligible next season and most likely elect to become a free agent in 2020. So he's pretty much controlled through the next couple of years.

Hey, it's just a trade idea. I have no sources. Although I wish I did. It's a good trade idea -- don't you think? I mean, isn't Brian McCann for George Springer.
