Can't complain about the move. I actually really like it. Lefties do really well in Yankee Stadium; the pitcher doesn't even need to have the best stuff. And Niese has been a decent pitcher in his days with the Mets.
Also -- something to remember -- Niese didn't have a spot anymore in the Mets rotation with the big name starting pitchers the Mets developed. So maybe a change scenery -- as the old cliche goes -- would do the help.
Besides C.C. Sabathia, the Yankees need another lefty in the rotation. Let's hope Niese has a surprising year.
