I'm not liking this, one bit. This is a game the Yankees were suppose to win. Now if they want to win this series, they have to do it the hard way.
The Baltimore Orioles are coming into Yankee Stadium like they know they're going to beat the Yankees. I don't like that.
If the Orioles get to another early lead tomorrow afternoon, David Phelps - whose tomorrow's starter - needs to show whose Stadium they're in ... Yea, I said it.
These Orioles hitters are looking a little to comfortable in Yankee Stadium. Maybe the Yankees need to make them uncomfortable with a 95-mph fastball in the hands. Move their feet, some.
Yankees need to show these guys that they're not coming into our ballpark, and thinking the Yankees are the Boston Red Sox. You're not gonna do that to us what you did to them, last season -- HELL...NO !
Hiroki Kuroda : He didn't pitch bad, but he didn't do his job either.
Yankees cannot be put in a 3 - 0 score in the top of the second. Like Jack Curry said in the postgame, that's like 8 - 0. With Mark Teixeira and Alex Rodriguez out and a struggling Robinson Cano and Curtis Granderson, Yankees needed a well pitched game, for at least the first four innings.
I understand Kuroda has everything the Yankees could have hoped for, but, this is a big game. And he is the no.3 starter. So that means he would pitch the third game of the ALDS if the Yankees go down 0-2 in a series.
Robinson Cano : He's starting to look like old Cano -- and that's not good.
Cano's at-bats were terrible. The reason for that -- he's trying to hit the ball over the short porch in right. In every at-bat, you see him try to pull the ball every time. He's thinking homerun or nothing.
In his second at-bat against Mike Gonzalez -- the first pitch he swung miss on was a ball in the dirt. It was a time in the game that we needed Gonzalez to throw a lot of pitches, and Cano was helping him out.
Cano has gotten away from hitting the ball the opposite way, which made him who is today. He's gotten too homerun happy with short porch in right.
Yankees need Robinson Cano to do well - with or without A-Rod and Teixeira. And with those two out, he's got to carry the team. If he wants that big contract, he's got to show he's worth that much to carry a team.
Tomorrow's Game : This game becomes...the biggest game of the season. They have to come out with a win tomorrow afternoon.
It's gonna tough, with David Phelps -- whose been good for the Yankees but not expected much since he's not a true starter. Wei-Yen Chen is going for the O's and has pitch well against the Yankees.
Tomorrow is a new month. Maybe Yankees will turn it around in September. They better.
