While the fall of the Mets this past season came in July, Wright remained a stud for the full 162 game schedule, batting a .309; 91 runs scored; 21 home runs; 93 RBI; and a .391 on-base percentage.
With the signing of Wright, it's a step in the right direction (no pun intended) for an organization in dire need for changes to become a relevant team in the major league. Vast changes in the off-season will have to be made to increase playoff chances for the 2013 season, but time will tell if the Mets will make any changes and additions to their line-up, and if they will go after big market players.
For now, Met's fans can exhale- Wright will stay.
