Can Gasol for Stoudemire Trade Happen?

January 23, 2013

The New York Knicks and the Los Angeles need to get a room ... No, no, no not like Mini Me and the Laser. I'm talking, get a room and discuss a trade.

I'm a Knick fan, who likes Amare Stoudemire. And I hate to say this: if I'm the Knicks, and the Lakers would want to give us Pau Gasol for Stoudemire, I'm gonna do it. Without even blinking, or hesitation.

With Gasol's recent struggles, has the possibility of him getting traded gotten higher? Also, could it be to New York...

Every NBA fan knows how much sense a Gasol for Stoudemire trade would make for both teams. Stoudemire gets to reunite with his clique when he was with the Phoenix Suns. With Mike D'antoni, and teammate/buddy Steve Nash, who won over 132 games in Phoenix and made it to the western conference finals twice. Then you add Kobe Bryant and Dwight Howard into that mix, the Lakers could have something

I believe Bryant would enjoy playing with Stoudemire, because Stoudemire is such a great finisher in the paint. Kobe can pass the ball to Amare at anytime and he take it to the hole.

Why Gasol Fits the Knicks:He's what they need. Knicks need another solid big man who can score in the paint. They don't really have that. Tyson Chandler is more of a defensive player, and can score only in the open lane, or ally oop pass.

They rely so much on the three-point line, and worries me that it's going to hurt them come playoffs. Knicks that guy in the paint, whose gonna give them that easy two.

Gasol would be that missing piece the Knicks need to be a potential championship team.

Can the Knicks Get Gasol: Yes. But, I think another team is gonna have to be involved, in order to entice the Lakers.

How about a three-team trade that would involve the Knicks, Lakers and Hawks.

Knicks get: Pau Gasol

Lakers get: Amare Stoudemire and Josh Smith

Hawks get: Dwight Howard
