Now, I have not found the official solution to the problem. But, I may know how to stop it constantly from lagging. And also I may know what causes it to happen constantly.
If you have the stutter problem and your hitting gameplay is set at "Zone", which involves the button and the left analog stick to hit -- the left analog stick is the problem to why the pitcher keeps lagging when he delivers a pitch.
I suggest you change the setting to "Timing", when all you have to do is press the button to hit, without the analog stick.
I've use the Zone setting for years, now. I've always managed it by hitting the ball when the pitcher is about to release the ball out of his hand, exactly, and I shift the analog stick to either swing inside or outside. Doing that in this year's MLB The Show, it triggers the pitcher to lag constantly.
I noticed, when I move the stick to the direction I want, at the same time the pitcher releases the ball, it increases the stuttering. Because so much is happening in that very second -- moving the stick and the pitcher moving -- it freezes the pitcher.
That being said, the annoyance and the sensitive stutter made me change the Zone setting to Timing. And once I did that, it was a lot better. The pitcher still stutters, mind you, but not all the time. It makes the pitcher pitch much fluently, than the Zone setting where the analog stick, almost, distracts the pitcher.
In my past years of buying MLB The Show, I've never had this issue. Only when I play online, but that's understandable because playing on the internet you're always gonna have glitches. But for it to happen in season games is horrible. I don't even enjoy playing it, or have the motivation to want to play it. This year's show has been the worst because of this issue.
So, I hope my mini solution works for you, until MLB brings a patch.
