Yankees: Can A-Rod Deal to Play This Season?

With reports stating, now, that Alex Rodriguez will resume playing rehab games on Friday and Saturday, and possibly return to the Yankees lineup on Sunday against the San Diego Padres, could A-Rod be working with a deal with the MLB to play this season only, then be banned for life?

Why not? If the A-Rod's camp and the MLB are negotiating a deal, why not have it this way. Let him play these last two months, then he retires.

It's the perfect deal, in my view. Let A-Rod have a chance to take the Yankees to postseason to redeem himself. If not, he's gone by the end of this season and to never be seen again.

What a perfect for A-Rod to go. If he can take the Yankees to October, he has a chance to win a ring and retire.

I got a little excited when I heard A-Rod might play this Sunday against the Padres, or Monday at Chicago against the White Sox. With Curtis Granderson back tomorrow, and possibly A-Rod, Yankees lineup is back!
