Will A-Rod Become a Miami Marlin, Soon?

Why is Alex Rodriguez learning to play first base?

Last year he never wanted to play or learn the position when the Yankees asked him to, while he was hitting well. So why now, when the team is struggling? Is it so he can get more playing time, since the Yankees wanna give Carlos Beltran more time at DH? Well...the Yankees could just trade Beltran in the next coming weeks and that'll settle the problem.

Or maybe (just maybe) A-Rod is willing to play first base to show a National League team with no DH, like the Miami Marlins, that he can play the position.

The MLB trade deadline is near and the New York Yankees, for the first time in everyone's lifetime, will become sellers. And the usual names you hear pop-up that are on the block for the Yankees, which are Aroldis Chapman, Andrew Miller and Beltran. But how about the Yankees trading A-Rod to the Marlins in the next couple of weeks.

The Marlins have a platoon at first first base. They have a right-handed bat in Chris Johnson whose batting .234 with 3-homeruns, 12-RBIs and a lefty bat in Don Kelly whose batting .067. Makes sense?

A-Rod to the Marlins was a trade rumor everyone saw as a huge possibility, when A-Rod got to the end of his contract. Well, he has one more year left on his contract, which is in 2017 that'll pay him $21 million.

Why was this rumor trade a huge possibility? MAJOR details, why. A-Rod grew up in Miami, Florida; has a bevy of family and friends who fill up Marlins Park every time the Yankees come play in Miami and most importantly the Marlins are having a winning season.

Watching the Marlins, who are 49-42 this season; currently holding the second place wild card spot in the National League and are second place in the N.L. East, they could become a very, very dangerous team in the postseason. They'll have a unique group of rookies, young stars and veterans. A-Rod would bring a championship atmosphere in Miami.

A-Rod would LOVE to play and win championship for the Marlins, and the Marlins ownership would love him to do that. I really do think there's a mutual feeling between the player and organization. Especially if A-Rod might be interested in become part of the team, after retirement.

If the Marlins can get A-Rod, who -- I understand -- isn't having the greatest season, hitting 8-homeruns and knocking in only 28-RBIs, but I really do feel he'll become rejuvenated playing in his hometown, where he went to high school, has family and friends, and can get away from the toxic relationship he has with the Yankees, who -- let's be honest -- don't want him on the team anymore.

The Yankees know how great A-Rod has been from them for twelve years, but they would love to free up that DH spot next season. Yankees might wanna make Brian McCann the full-time DH or maybe re-sign Beltran and make him the full-time DH.

You know, the Yankees who are in trade talks with teams like the Chicago Cubs and Washington Nationals. Teams who are in high contention of playing the playoffs and -- oh yea -- will see the New York Mets a lot and could decide whether the Mets makes the postseason or not. Also, the Mets are tied with the Marlins for that second wild card spot. You don't think the Yankees would love to see A-Rod his a big homerun off the Mets that'll eliminate them from the postseason?
