Wild Card Friday ! This gonna be something to get use to, for all of us baseball fans.
St.Louis Cardinals vs Atlanta Braves -- the winner takes on the Washington Nationals in the NLDS, and the loser goes home.
Kyle Lohse: Very good year for Lohse. He's 16-3 with a 2.86 ERA.
Every time I think about Lohse, I keep thinking he's a journeymen for some reason. But he's only played for the Minnesota Twins and Cardinals in his career. Quite underrated.
Although, Lohse's postseason record and era are not pretty.
Lohse's stuff is very mediocre. He's got to be perfect in the postseason. If he's not, he'll give up 5-runs in four innings, like he did in Game 1 of the NLDS against Philadelphia Phillies.
Kris Medlen: 10 - 1 with a 1.57 ERA. Can you say -- brilliant ?
What Medlen has done this season is remarkable. In his last ten starts, he has allowed zero runs in his in six of those starts and only three runs or less in the other four starts. Overall in those last ten starts he has a 0.86 ERA. Unbelievable.
It's going to be fascinating to see Medlen pitch in a big, pressured, one-game playoff like this. If he pitches well and wins this game for the Braves, he's going to be a pitcher to watch out for in the national league.
Prediction Winner: Atlanta Braves. I like the Medlen going on the hill tonight; I think the Braves can hit Lohse and won't have any problem. Last time Lohse faced the Braves back in May 30th, he allowed 5-runs and 9-hits.
I know St.Louis is gutty team and wouldn't surprise me if they come out with a won, today. Though I just feel that the Braves can end a game with a big homerun. And I can see Freddie Freeman hitting that big homerun to win the game.
Everyone knows that the Braves just have to give the ball to Craig Kimbrel in ninth and it's all over.

So that is all ! Best of luck to the Braves and Cardinals. It's going to be good. I will have fallout after the game whoever the winner is.
