But, I do think A-Rod's time of being a healthy baseball player is over.
No matter what -- he's done. I don't even think A-Rod will last his remaining four-years on his contract. There's no way he completes it after two hip surgeries; and a player who hits homeruns and needs those hips to drive the ball.
It's near impossible at this point.
Unless he changes his game, where he eliminates his power swing and becomes a singles hitter. Which will never happen.
Either way he's basically done, I think. You just hope he comes back and hits 15-homeruns for the New York Yankees. That's where it's come down to with him in this stage of his career.
Can A-Rod Shock Everyone and Play Great: Not impossible. Like in 2009, Rodriguez could comeback after the all-star break and take the Yankees by storm and back to the World Series.
Although, -- again -- at this stage of his career, who knows if he could even duplicate half of what he did in '09. You've got to remember, he was 33-years old when he help win the Yankees 27th world champion. Big difference compare to this season when he'll turn 38 in July.
40, 50-homerun A-Rod: Gone.
30-homerun A-Rod: No more.
162-game, healthy A-Rod: Done.
